The Chicago Bears shared some video footage from the first OTA practices of 2024, and it was glorious. The video featured rookie quarterback Caleb Williams dropping a dime to tight end Gerald Everett over cornerback Kyler Gordon.

Videos like this are like throwing chum into shark-infested waters. Bears fans have been waiting for footage of Williams throwing passes to Chicago's collection of veteran receivers and tight ends, and now they have it.
Williams, who the Chicago Bears selected with the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, will begin the season as the unquestioned starting quarterback, and he has a good chance to break every Bears' single-season passing record in Year 1. It's a low bar to clear. Erik Kramer holds the record for the most single-season passing yards with 3,838 in 1995. He set the touchdown record that year, too, with 29.
Passes like the one above will certainly help him accomplish that goal.
